The German-Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry said German companies seek local partners to conduct projects of solar power in areas not connected to the main power grid of the Philippines.
The chamber said it will organize a networking event aimed at forming partnerships between German and Philippine companies in order to foster technology and know-how transfer.
The German efforts are concentrated on developing the Philippine market for photovoltaic off-grid and mini-grid technologies.
“The off-grid and hybrid sectors are in the focus area of the German power technology companies,†the statement read.
“Innovative solutions based on off-grid solar power generation, hybridization of power grids with solar technology and the building of mini-grids are developed and expected to provide reliable access to power in off-grid areas on a large-scale,†it added.
The event in Cebu on October 28 will involve a forum and networking opportunities.
It will be attended by a group of global technology leaders from Germany that offer a broad range of technical solutions in the solar energy field.
“Potential cooperation with a local partner is of high interest in order to join forces to maximize project opportunities,†it added.
