Solar in Typhoon Hit Tanuan

One of South East Asia’s largest wholesale distributors of solar power equipment has teamed up with Intel to provide solar to Santa Nino School in Tanuan Philippines. ‘ When we found out that Intel was rebuilding a School for the typhoon hit region & there was an opportunity for us to help, we jumped at it’  Say Denny Honen the group Managing Director of Optimus Energy.

Intel had a mission not only to build the new school for the nearly 600 local students, it also wanted to get computers in the hands of the students. The problem is that electricity is extremely expensive in the Philippines & it’s one thing to put computers in the school, it’s another thing to have the school community comfortable to use them.

Optimus Energy donated & installed a 2kW grid tied solar power system including Canadian Solar 250w modules, a 2kW Zeversolar inverter & Lock Solar tilt racking.
