South Korean Solar Firm Adds 45 MW in UK.

A South Korean solar company has opened two plants in the UK with a total capacity of 45.2MW.

Hanwha Q Cells has started operations at the 20.4MW Fenland Farm and the 24.8MW Green End solar plants near Cambridge.solarfarm575-copy

Around 172,500 solar panels have been installed at the sites in total.

The company claims this will save around 22,700 tons of carbon emission per year.

Hanwha was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction whilst its partner Golden Square Energy (GSE) was in charge of development.

However, the company has now taken full ownership of both parks including the operations and maintenance services.
